The brand can never love you back.

Consumer loyalty is for poor people. All loyalty to non human entities is a mugs game. No matter how much you love Prada, Apple or some ideology they can never love you back and they will leave you in the dirt with a broken heart.

Loyalty is for human beings, nations and transforming ideals.

Brand loyalty is fostered by business through a process known as 'loyalty management'. The customer is the one being managed. Despite this it is possible to turn the process around and manage them right back. I hope you do so.

So what can be done?

I have joined Quidco (as should everyone).

I have a plethora of other loyalty schemes but none of them amount to a hill of beans. Treat yours as a minor hobby. Few of them truly save money.
