Twelve is bad. One is good. None is worst.
The workings of credit are often counter intuitive. If we have one credit card (and we pay the bills) we become a known quantity. Credit providers can read our personality through our actions and are reassured. If we have twelve cards the opposite occurs. It looks as if we are planning to run up huge debts and will not be offered further credit.
