Start by walking. See what is already there for us.
By walking in a city we connect not only with the beauty of old buildings but with the human life around us. I do not know of any person who walks in this this way who becomes depressed.
Reading fiction. Most fiction seems to be for 'someone else' these days but people who read fiction suffer less mental illness so try to do so if you can. If you cannot find a book you would like to read- then write one!
Become a people watcher. people watchers rarely become depressed or self obsessed.
