Air flight is so cheap that it is better to redeem miles for food and drink if you can.
The top photograph is of a Vintner (wine merchant) standing outside of the Vintners Hall in the City. The next is of silk scarves on sale at a London market.
I earn Avios by shopping in Tesco and John Lewis. Avios are owned by British Airways and their chief purpose is to encourage people to fly with them. Nevertheless I have found that wine is better value than short hall flights.
The only downside is that they use City Link to deliver it. City Link seen to measure time differently to other people.
